"I had a fantastic stay at this gite. The owners Melanie and François are so welcoming and ensure you have a great stay. The food was tasty and it is nice that you can eat at the time that is convenient for you. There is also an epicerie / little shop where you can buy supplies, as well as nice local beer for the evening. François also runs a church tour every evening and gives plenty of information about the trail the next day. There was a mix up with my booking and Melanie and François were so understanding and helpful, I really appreciate their kindness. Thank you both!!"
"One of my best experiences on the entire Via Podiensis! A warm, kind, authentic welcome. Great vegetarian food on request at dinner and fab breakfast. Church tour. I also observed the hosts trying very hard to help a couple who had made an error with their booking - lovely to observe this kindness. Thank you and I’ll be sure to return if I’m ever on the path again 💚"

"One of the best accommodation I'd had on my camino. The place itself had lovely views. And the town was quiet and peaceful. The host, Francesco, was very kind, hospital, and engaging. (Even when I booked a bed over the phone I'd remarked to my roommate after the conversation, "what a nice guy!") He took us (there were 3 of us) on a private tour of the old church not far from the accommodation, and have us very extensive history about it. As well as telling us about the Basque culture. Beds were comfortable. There had spaces for campers. I recall there was also free Wifi. You could get demi-pension, but notify them early so they could prepare. It was only run by 2 persons, and at that time, he was running it alone as the other was away. Booked for the cost, but wanted to stay for the hospitality and serenity.🙂"
"I stopped here on a hot day after a long hike. I was in need of shade and a cold drink while I waited for my friend. The owners of this place are just amazing, kind and welcoming. I wasn’t able to stay the night here and experience that as I had to continue on but they were so nice I wish I could have stayed longer. If they’re ever in California I hope they look me up! I will cook dinner for Melanie and take them on some great hikes in the San Francisco Bay Area! Cheers Mélanie and François! Thank you for being so kind and welcoming!
